Tanya Harris is a part-time mother and writer but one does pay the bills her husband is a successful lawyer. But when she gets a call from her agent, Walt one day with an offer to write a screenplay by a famous Oscar-winning
Danielle Steel has given us another emotional attention getter in Bungalow 2. Ms. Steel never ceases to amaze with each of her books that I read I find a page turner that I am captivated with. The characters are filled with depth, heart, soul and each one you can really associate with one way or another. I know this one will be on my keeper shelf for years to come.
Jillian Greene works for Catch A Mate (CAM) her job is too prove that the opposite sex can’t be trusted ever. She never gets physical with the targets as a rule her rule. One day her boss Anne hires a Man to test the fidelity of women, which rubs Jillian the wrong way. What rubs her even more the wrong way is that Anne tells her that he will be her partner that evening for her job, to kind of show him the ropes. Jillian doesn’t need a partner especially a Miva (Man Diva ) which is what she thinks he is by the way he is presenting him self. Cocky and self sure and so insulting, and well too much like her; they were just not going to be able to get along. But what Jillian doesn’t know is that Marcus her new partner is actually going to be her new boss he has just bought
Gena Showalter cooks up a steamy and entertaining story with Catch A Mate. Jillian and Marcus are two characters that I won’t soon forget. The characters in the story come to life with such Zing and Zeal! It was hard to put the book down. I will be glad to read anything else she writes especially if it is about those two and their friends.
Aluve' my friendsHarmony Cartwright and her triplet sisters live in
Annette Blair weaves a wonderful tale of romance and passion with a bit of sparkling charm thrown in. The characters are wonderfully well rounded and entertaining making the story one that you can hardly put down. I will definitely be reading any of Annette Blair’s other Witchy Books that she puts out.
The Vampire Queens Servant is about a Vampire, Lady Elyssa who is in the process of looking for a new servant when she needs to have a manicure and her old servant sends a new servant prospect, Jacob Green to her. What her previous servant Thomas did not tell Jacob was that she was sick which he finds out the first night he meets her. Jacob gives Lyssa a letter from Thomas which lets her know that he has sent Jacob to her that states he would be perfect as a new servant for her. Jacob does in fact go above and beyond the call of duty for her when she has a episode of her affliction and he takes care of her without question and quickly. Jacob has something going for him he is a precog he can sense what someone will need or can do before they do it. Lyssa doesn’t really think that he is going to be up to the task of being her servant. She needs more care than a normal vampire usually needs because of her affliction and is not willing to tell him all of her problems or open up to him fully to let him in. She feels strangely attracted to this human and doesn’t know why. He is a alpha male which means he is not accustomed to being submissive to a woman’s wishes. Although all he knows it that he has been born to serve her from the moment he saw her he knew. Just when she thinks she is getting him broke in he turns it around on her. He shows her that the bond between master and servant can go ways that she may not have even wished or thought of. Joey W. Hill takes us into a whole new world with The Vampire Queens Servant showing us the love between a Mistress and her Servant can be give and take and can also be beautiful. The story was written in great detail so that if you closed your eyes to imagine what was going on you could see the room or what was going on. Hill takes the passion between Lyssa and Jacob to a rollercoaster ride that you will love. I will definitely be looking forward to the next book in line and anything else that Joey W. Hill writes.
Aluve' my friendsMaledicte is dark rich tale about young love spurned that will not be torn asunder by anyone not even parents. A young man removed from the merchant’s relicts to be taken back to his father in the courts of Antyre Janus is torn away from his love and she is left for dead by the Earls kinsman. Once healed she makes her way towards her love but enters the wrong home coming face to face to the one that will help her and keep her secret for years to come, Baron Vornatti and his servant Gilly. Although when she enters she is dressed as a boy and carrying a black sword which she means to kill Lord Last with and reclaim his son Janus with. The only name she will give to them is Maledicte to help hide the fact that she is really a female, Baron Vornatti asks her reason for wanting to run Lord Last through she lets him know. He is truthful in letting her know that Lord Last is not at Lastrest and has gone off to another one of his homes for the winter to have his son trained in the ways of the court. Baron Vornatti strikes a deal with him to train him in what he needs to know to get the job done, seeing as how they have the same goals in mind in seeing Lasts demise as an eminent. Vornatti does find out that Maledicte is a girl but vows to keep it a secret by any means possible as long as the deal is kept to the letter. Vornatti does how ever revel in holding it over Maledictes’ head and never does find out the real name for the girl. Lane Robins did an excellent job of conveying the dark recesses of Maledictes mind and what a lover can go through when she or he loves someone so much she or he is willing to kill to keep them. Robins’ characters were intelligent and appealing showing zeal and zest for life. It was a most entertaining and passionate read that I won’t hesitate to pick up and read again and again, it is truly a keeper from a very gifted author.
Aluve' my friendsWell about a week ago I went to upgrade one simple part of my system. Of course I let my hubby do it because I have no idea what I was doing my system is slowly but surely becoming a new system because of all the old parts I have been replacing lol. Well I replaced the CD rom with a DVD drive. Well that is were the fun began . My sweet little computer that has been my trusted companion for years now won’t power up. So we think it is the mother board and order a new tower case that has that in it. And when it arrived today I was so excited I was going to be able to be back at my desk instead of the extra computer … WRONG!!! .. no … it doesn’t see the hard drives now … what do we do now … well we decide that the slave drive can become the main drive i don’t care if I loose all my pics or what ever I just want my computer back. I will install and download what ever I just want it back asap. Within reason that is. He proceeds to start that work and nope that won’t even work we switch the old IDE cables out thinking maybe that will do the trick no not that either. *SIGH* he is frustrated .. he looks at me “baby i need to step back for a while and deal with it later” I understand I tell him.. yeah i have been without it since sun or was it sat time has gone by too long …. I am feeling like I won’t have it back But I know he will do everything he can to get it back as soon as he can. I tell him I don’t want him to frustrate his self over it especially after we have go home from work. Deal with it another time. So that is why it has taken me so long to post… Plus remembering passwords from a second computer we have at home lol… wish me all that everything comes out well and she is back up and running soon with out to much more that is needed to be bought… *fingers crossed*

Michele Bardsley weaves a very suspenseful and romantic story in a Night Without Raine. It is peppered with her usual medieval steamy romance with a bit of suspense and mystery thrown in for good measure. Bardsley never ceases to amaze or astound with each story and you will not be disappointed with this book either. This is definitely another for the keeper shelves.
Chris Marie Green brings to light a new twist in the vampire genre with Night Rising. Dawn Madison is called back to Tinsel town to help search for her father who has recently gone missing while investigating a case. He has been investigating a bizarre sighting of a child star named Robby that was supposed to have been dead for a while, but has been recently seen in a newly filmed movie. While working with her fathers co-workers Kiko, and Breisi, Dawn learns that vampires are not all just myth and legend. Their boss is never seen only heard and, teaches her how to use her mind to keep people out that she doesn’t want in. She also learns that Kiko has had a vision concerning her and the vampires. They get a tip from an actress named Klara, she was a co-worker of Robby’s, who lets them in on bit of information on Robby and his father and how they acted on the set and etc. with other people. They were less than private with their advances to people about things that should be kept private. There is another PI roaming around named Matt Lonigan the firm can’t figure out if he is on the up and up or if he is working for the vamps as a servant. But he has an eye for Dawn and keeps giving her information that makes sense to her. The vampires have created a world for themselves they call the Underground it is ruled by the Master and his Second in command Sorin. They also will bring in any person that would wish to reinvent themselves years later for a price. So as was the case with singer Tamsin Greene. Klara winds up dead a few days later after giving the information about Robby and his father. When Dawn and Kiko go to the Bava Bar to see if they can get a bit more information about Robby they run into Robby himself the vampire version. There is a bit of a tussle and Kiko is hurt badly luckily Dawn is trained in taking falls and draws Robby away from Kiko and talks him into going to see his mother. Kiko is sent to the hospital and Dawn goes with Breisi to see Robby’s mother to see if they can help Robby to be at peace finally.
Chris Marie Green shows us that vamps are not all myth and legend in Night Rising. Night Rising was a riveting attention getter and one that I could not put down easily. Being the vampire fan that I am I was glad to see the new twists to the vampire genre that were added instead of the age old kill’em with sun and stake’em through the heart type scenes. Green takes it a step further with each type of vamp that she introduces with each turn of the page. I will definitely want to read anything else that Chris Marie Green writes.

When she thinks she is just about to seek solitude at home, a wreck blocks her car in. She must wait for the two cars blocking hers to be removed before she can go home. Hopefully she can find some solace in a junk shop across the street until the cars can be removed, and at least it has her out of the rain for a bit. She buys it takes it home, cleans it up and decides to take it on a trip she has planned to a science fiction convention that weekend. As she walks back out into her living room she is scared half out of her wits by a man sitting in strange looking clothes on her couch. Here is, were her story begins, the man is Lorgin ta’al Krue from another universe. He is on a quest that he will not divulge to her at this time, but vows to protect her because he feels she needs protecting. When she turns on the microwave things really get interesting because he takes out something looking like a light saber and demolishes it, thinking the microwave is attacking her. She thinks that her friends that are meeting her at the convention have sent him as a joke. Lorgin won’t leave her side which Deana finds quite irritating and forcing her to take him on the trip with her. Where after dinner he sees the necklace that she bought at the junk shop on her and realizing what it is he makes his oath to her and asks for and oath in return she still thinking it is some kind of joke agrees. Once they are back in the hotel room he opens a portal and sweeps her off to his universe. Where she is totally taken aback and starts learning things may not always be what they appear to be. Lorgin takes her for much more than she thinks she and he refuses to believe her in this matter. She helps Lorgin to see things in his world that he would not see without a females touch otherwise.
Dara Joy has woven a wonderful futuristic romantic tale between these two star-crossed lovers. I look forward to reading more of her books. She takes you on a delightful journey through worlds that you never thought possible. When you finish reading this book you will want to read more.

Ilona Andrews weaves a suspenseful page-turner that you won’t want to put down. I found my self so absorbed in this book that it was finished before I knew it. She really knows how to keep your attention I will definitely be buying the sequel to this book or anything else she puts out it was a compelling read.
" I rummaged through Greg’s desk drawer for a mirror. Every self-respecting mage had a mirror close to hand. Too many spells required it. Greg’s was a rectangle set in a plain wooden frame. I caught my image in it and almost dropped the rag. My hair glowed. It radiated a weak burgundy luminescence, which shifted when I ran my hands through it, as if each individual strand of hair was coated in fluorescent paint. I shook my head, but the radiance didn’t dim. Growling at it didn’t help either, and I didn’t have the faintest idea how to get rid of it."
"I hid in the farthest corner of the room, invisible from the door, and opened the file. If you can’t make it go away wait it out."
