On Valentines Day

What do you think of when you hear the words Valentine's Day? I think of Roses, Candy, Diamonds, Candlelit dinners for two, etc, etc.... the list could go on and on. But what does it really mean to women it means a chance to see how much her partner really loves her. To a man it is a chance to freak out over the right gift for a woman or his partner in this day and age. For old times sake lets just say our couple is a man and a woman like my husband and I we don't usually freak out over our gifts well sometimes I do stress over his a bit. But it is not the major things that he has gotten me that have stuck with me it is the little things that he has done. The small insignificant things that I remember more than the diamonds or pearls that he may lavish over the years oh don't get me wrong ladies I do love the diamonds and pearls etc. etc. "Keep them coming hun" I have already gotten one of my Valentines presents my "I love my geek t-shirt" cause he knows I love my geek. But I digress, as I was saying it is the little things that they will remember the small things like dinner that you made and added the candles yourself maybe in their favorite color and their favorite dinner. Rose petals littering the floor to the bathroom that is filled with candles and a nice warm bubble bath in her favorite scent. Send the kids off to a friends or the grandparents house for the night or even a couple of hours for just a couple of hours alone and if you have a real patient spouse do a hide and seek for their present a kind of treasure hunt, with clues to find their present and if your really good each present. the champagne glasses or each glass and then the bottle and then etc. etc. you figure it out. But as I said it is the little things they will remember not the big things maybe just a saying or how you did something that they will remember not how wonderful your present was. Maybe just the thought you put into the present So think of something small this year not something that is going to knock them off their feet but something they will remember for years to come.

Happy Valentines day
