New Website

I am posting more on my New Website - www.christinemmiller.com but have recently added a new page to it When you click on the Book Review tab there it takes you to www.christinemmiller.com/ChristineMMiller which is now my writing page it houses my writing examples and book reviews. I will eventually use this as an archived site from the last review done backwards to when this site was started. Please make adjustments to your bookmarks to reflect the new site. Comments for the writing are always welcome as are new topics for me to write about.

Transformation

I never thought how hard it was going to be making the transformation from reviewer to author. But it has been a bit difficult, there is research that goes into it so you don't step on anyone's toes inadvertently. You have to think of what names you want to use for your characters not just first names but last names too. Luckily being a gamer that I used to be I had first names and well some last names that I could use. I pulled out that list and started going over it too see what might work and then some started popping into my head. I wrote those down and then started doing some research on a few other bits and pieces of information I needed, most of it myths and legends. But then I combined alot of different pieces too, being a reviewer helped to because you see how authors see things in a different points of view so I was able to take that and add that to my research so I wrote those bits down too. There was so much I needed to research before I started writing, after I did start then my husband said why don't you write a small story of a day in the life of each char to see how they speak to you. So that is what I am working on now. I have one done and I will post it for you soon, and I am working on an other now. Which of course I will get posted when it is done. Each one will get posted as I get them done that way you can see the characters and how they think and feel. It may not give you a prospective exactly on the story but you can still think about what your favorite character may be, and even give me some constructive criticism if you would like.

This may seem weird but I want to thank all the authors out their for all the hard work they put into writing their wonderful books us reviewers read. Up until recently I knew there was some difficulty doing it but didn't really understand how much. I have recently started writing my own book and that is what brought me to write this thank you, because now I understand just what does go into the writing of a book for us to read. I know there is still alot more that I have yet to find out especially to get it out there and having it published. I just wanted to thank all of you for writing those wonderful books that you do and so well I might add.

College

Well I have decided that it is time that I think about getting ready to go to college. I am looking into different online colleges now. I want to major in Journalism, the problem is I have to make sure that it is the specific type of major that I am working with now. Writing with books like the reviews I do. Maybe working for magazines or something near that. So there is a update for you I don’t know when I will start maybe in a year or so. I have to get some things straightened out first. Then I will get all of this started, and I will everyone apprised of the situation too.

Your first Snippet of my writing

What happens when good falls in love with evil? Does the evil try to be a little good or does the good turn out to be a little evil? There in lies our story, so lets start with with the good side. Our angel was taking a break from Heaven walking down the street in a little country town on earth she had chosen. She chose this little country town because it was not so large as some towns that she had been in lately. She had finished the cases that she was on and was on vacation. She had rented a small apartment on the north side of town and had it furnished modestly. She also had her favorite angelic cat with her for company. She loved all cats but this one was a dear to have around on earth. Although she did have to remind him to keep his wings in while on earth, yes angel cats do have wings too. She was out on this modestly warm autumn day, looking for a new toy for her angelic companion. Looking at the trees and smelling the wind as angels often do when she bumped into a handsome young man carrying his groceries in on hand and looking at his phone in the other. "Oh I am so sorry! I should have been more careful where I was going" she said as she helped him pick up his groceries smiling very sweetly at him. He was quite miffed but when he caught a glimpse of her sparkling blue eyes and the sparkle in them the quip he had ready for her quickly faded and it changed from "Stupid women never watch where they are going" to "That is ok I am sure those beautiful blue eyes were a bit blinded by the sun." She smiled and giggled and said " Why thank you. I am truly sorry maybe we shall meet again one day. next time without you dropping your groceries." She handed him her card and went on to finish looking for her kitty's toy. He looked down at the name on the card grinning evilly, "Yes my dear I am sure we will meet again, and next time we meet it will be more on my terms" he said as he stuck the card in his pocket flames lept in his eyes...

This is just the first little snippet of a book I am working on or maybe short story let me know what you think

Comming soon will be the start of a Reading list that I will hope to be able to bring to you in hopes to enrich the site some. In addition to this it will be linked with where you can buy the book at a good price online or I will let you know a good store where I bought the book.. So look here soon to get the scoop on some good books.I will also be trying my hand at some writing so you will be the ones to get it first hand here, and be able to let me know what you think.
