Two white barbarian women Joanna Crane and Lydia Smith had found immortality while she had not. When General Kang visits her home looking for a monk, who is no longer there he is upset. That she has housed him and, is under the impression that she kept him prisoner and forced a white woman on him. She knows that this monk is son and reveals this to him which makes him all the angrier. Her husband Kui Yu is no home at this time but has been sent for. General Kang is also highly irritated that Kui Yu is not there to receive him. Or arrives quickly after he does Kui Yu does not even show up before the General leaves. The General and his men leave the home in disarray looking for the Monk and the white woman to ensure he is not there before he leaves. When he does not find them he advises Shi Po that if he finds other wise she will pay for it. When Kui Yu arrives she explains all to him and that he also had her brother executed because of the feud with his son. Although the General said that he was executed for training rebels of the White Lotus Society. When Kui Yu he found her in meditation in her private room sitting in front of tools for her suicide. He talked her out of it, their dinner was quiet until Aunt Mei Ting arrived. In an uproar, because of the arrival of some of Shi Po’s girls coming to her aunts house in search of some refuge from the soldiers and now her aunt was upset and in fear that she herself would be arrested and wanted to know exactly what Shi Po was being visited by an upset general for. She explained to her aunt that she did not have what the General wanted nor did she know where he was. Her aunt told her to find it she told her Aunt there was no more danger because the monk and the white woman were both gone. But her Aunt thought differently and advised her to leave Shanghai disaster befell there family. Her aunt stated that the general may very well come and take them in the middle of the night and she would be lucky if she was killed. Kui Yu escorted Aunt Ting out of their home to the front gate. When he returned he asked Shi Po if she thought there was any danger she said not that both the monk (the general’s son) and the white woman were gone. Kui Yu was not quite sure himself. He told her he had gold hidden near by, she said not they would be fine, that she new exactly what to do. He said for her to handle her “woman’s business” and he will and his “mans Business”. She had planned to go ahead with her suicide and had chosen his next wife Little Pearl. But before she could execute this plan completely her husband interrupted her and stopped her once again saying she was breaking her promise to him. As they lay in that room sleeping much later they were awakened by General Kang’s soldiers and were ordered to an audience with General Kang. Her husband was treated as a common thief and she was made to ride in front of a smelly soldier. When they arrived they were separated Kui Yu was treated as a friend in a way. Kang offered to have Shi Po disappear, arrested and discredited since she has caused him this problem. He refused and says that if she has been anything other than a normal wife he will deal with her in his way in time. The general told him that with all the secrets women have she is able to fake virginity on the wedding night. This upset Kui Yu and he lased out saying to release him so he could be free to see and spend time with his wife. Once the General questions Shi Po both are locked away in a cell with questions on if they will be let out. Jade Lee has brought us another stunning addition to her Tigress series it is as in depth and steamy as the previous ones before it. A definite keeper like the others.

Hungry Tigress by Jade Lee

Joanna Crane was tired of being her rich daddy’s showpiece and wanted to do something food for the people of China. She went in search of China’s Boxer Rebellion what she actually found instead was anti- foreigner bandits who seemed to want to kill her than let her join them. She is saved by a Shoalin Monk, who turns out to be much more but before she can reveal what she believes he truly is he cuts off her voice temporarily. He the took her to the Tigress Shi-Po telling her that Joanna wishes to learn the Tigress ways in secret from the greatest Tigress in China, then all that was left was to deliver his message to the Tigress about her brother, along with his gift to her family. Then return to his family in Peking & honor his family, but all did not go as planned. When he shows the scrolls to Shi Po’s husband Kui Yi sees the blood on the scrolls, and states that he has brought evil tidings to the home and tells on of the servants to get his mistress that they are accepting an imperial gift. Then Zou Tun explained he was the last surviving Monk of her Brother’s Monetary. Soldiers had come in the middle of the night believing they were training revolutionaries from the White Lotus Society; her brother’s last dieing wish was for her to have the sacred scrolls. Shi Po asked him if he wished to learn the other side of what the scrolls had to teach and if not was he to discharge his task. He said he could not discharge his task that was given to him by his master. He said he would stay and learn and therefore finish the task set forth upon him. Shi Po told him since he had brought a barbarian into her home she would be his partner. He asked her if she meant to shame him. Her husband also gave a slight reaction but, it was not noticed because she had left the room. When Joanna awakened her throat was very sore and she couldn’t talk and if she tried to breathe deep it hurt worse and felt like it was closing up on her. When she saw Zou Tun she panicked and the breath got worse he told her to calm and breathe shallow and the pain would lessen and she would be able to breathe normally, otherwise her throat would contract and cut off her air supply. He explained they were both captives in a way. He explained that if they tried to escape they would be stopped at the door of their room. But if they did these particular exercises they would be able to leave sooner, Joanna did not like the idea of these exercises, and tried to attack him at one point he pinned and tied her to the bed. He explained to her just what the exercises were and that he would help her with hers. Shi Po was not happy with the first nights results, she informed him she would do the barbarians exercises herself Zou Tun did not like this as he had told Joanna he would protect her at all costs. He advised Shi Po that no he would take care of this himself that her assistance was not needed. Zou Tun explained that to Joanna once more and she agreed this time to the exercises and promises of escape.

Jade gives us yet another amazing Tigress book in the Tigress Erotic Romance series. Zou Tun and Joanna Crane’s story is another hot and steamy tale and yet another perfect example of how Jade Lee is a exemplary writer. She never ceases to amaze as with this addition to the series each character she adds to the series adds new depth and new light to the series. Each book can stand alone but also interlocks with the other books. It is one that goes next to the others in the series on my keeper shelf.
